I remember loving the illustrations and taking a devilish glee at making my mom try to read it out loud. Now I love it as a readaloud because I get to show off!Mrs. Silversteinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15081113623522933830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3619064257976283368.post-65086314771647969302013-01-12T20:42:16.436-05:002013-01-12T20:42:16.436-05:00I go hot and cold on Dr. Seuss. I wish you and your daughter much happiness exploring the Seuss canon.spritehttp://www.spritewrites.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3619064257976283368.post-85507332798807782842013-01-07T14:36:19.594-05:002013-01-07T14:36:19.594-05:00I love Seuss! It uses silly rhymes, but teaches diversity at the same time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3619064257976283368.post-34800275904779377702013-01-07T13:20:43.153-05:002013-01-07T13:20:43.153-05:00I was never a fan of Dr Seuss books but my four ye...I was never a fan of Dr Seuss books but my four year old loves them! We got a boxed set for Christmas and my daughter giggles all the way through reading. The more nonsensical the words the more she laughs - Mr Gump with his Wump makes her laugh as does the Nook with the book.

My favourite is Green Eggs and Ham.Catherinehttp://storysnug.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3619064257976283368.post-47815151501895305122013-01-06T15:28:07.661-05:002013-01-06T15:28:07.661-05:00The only Dr. Seuss book I like is My Many Colored ...The only Dr. Seuss book I like is My Many Colored Days. And I always feel like I must be missing something since soooooo many literacy professionals think he is the cat's meow. Maybe I am just not smart enough to get his appeal. I also dislike his artwork. But, as you say, he wrote so many books perhaps I have not read the right ones yet. But I always steer clear of the Seuss section of the library because I dread having to read them out loud. Storied Citieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07905014932745432905noreply@blogger.com
